Is your job taken by robots, yet?

The shocking reality is that it could be here sooner than you imagine.  What will you when your job gets taken by robots?  I’ve got my plan.  Have you?

I was going to carry on with my series on goal setting, but when I heard the news this morning, that more jobs could be taken by robots, I thought that this is something I MUST share instead.

I will carry on with Ladders and Goals and all that in my next blog, but in the meantime, here’s the big news.

Driver-less taxis are here.  And they’re in my hometown, Singapore.  The headlines say that even Uber’s been trumped.

I came across this video when I first started thinking about how I could start making money on the internet, and to be honest, it was just the wake up call that I needed.

I knew that I was worried about financing retirement, and what my next job would be.

But I just never did anything about it.  Frankly, I didn’t know how to.  I’d been doing the same thing for close to 20 years, and I honestly didn’t think I could make the switch.

Well, I watched this, and realised I had to make the switch, or go the way of the horses (you’ll get it after you’ve watched the video).

I told myself there and then that I could not afford to wait till it was too late.  My family could not afford for me to do that.

Looking back, worrying about retirement is now a distant memory.

I’ve learnt to write my own paycheck.  And I can do that for life, as long as I’ve got an internet connection.
