Go Digital ™ or Be Digital ™. Just don’t do nothing. All businesses will benefit from using digital tools to get more customers. Some business owners may want to use digital tools to transform their lives. Learn what this former lawyer did.

Starting or running your own business, whether it’s an online business, or a traditional brick and mortar business is tough.  After all, both are real businesses.

As a business owner, there’s so many things that we need to consider. The buck really does stop with us, doesn’t it.

When I first decided to start my own business, I looked at several models, from selling things I thought I was passionate about, such as music peripherals, to publishing eBooks, and even physical books, and of course, affiliate marketing and coaching, and even corporate transaction services.

All businesses (even existing businesses) need customers

While many factors contribute to the success or lack of success of any business, to me, it all comes down to one thing – someone purchasing your product or service. And if that ONE person purchases your product or service, how are you going to find the hundreds or even thousands more like that customer, so that your business can start being profitable.

Success and growth of every real business I know of, basically comes down to attracting and getting more customers, and the education we’re going to provide you is focussed on enabling you to go out there, and get more customers.

To Go Digital ™, refers to using digital tools allow you to attract customers and make sales 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They allow you to scale business lines that work, and shut down those that don’t in a matter of clicks.

In my 20 years as a corporate lawyer, I worked on numerous corporate transformation exercises, that resulted in the transformation of several multi-hundred-million companies into several multibillion dollar companies. While there was always resistance to change, it was always because the benefits of change were not fully understood.

Be Digital ™: Create a lifestyle and business around the digital tools that are now available

That said, after working with literally thousands of people around the world, I’ve noticed that sometimes people spend a lot of time and energy nurturing and growing a business idea that they think they’re passionate about, or that they’ve assumed is going to be the quickest way to put more money in the bank.

I know I too fell into this trap when I first started up, and for me these took the form of selling music peripherals (thought I was passionate about), and providing corporate transaction services (quickest way to bank money, as it was a natural progression from 20 years of corporate legal work).

With the benefit of hindsight, the advice that I give my students is to only spend your time growing your existing business if it’s a business that you really want to have.

If you currently run a business that you’re not that passionate about, but you keep it because it keeps the lights on, then consider setting up a second business, a digital one, in tandem with your current business, and eventually replace your current business with a business you are truly passionate about.

In fact, our focus is showing people how they can use digital tools to create and build a business that they love, and then start to live a life that they love. That is, what we at Digimax Life™ call Being Digital ™. From my experience, and the experience of students all around the world, it really is possible.

Conversely, personal experience has also shown me that it’s impossible to truly live your best life if you’re not passionate about your business – starting and running a business does take effort, nurturing, and persistence to succeed.
