This Is NOT ‘Get Rich Quick’!

Get Rich Quick schemes give internet education and businesses a bad name. Many of them exaggerate claims, and some of them are even fraudulent. Be sure to be careful when you’re assessing opportunities.

One of my bug-bears are Get Rich Quick schemes. You know the ones that promise you that you press the little red button and money flies out of your computer screen?

They give this whole industry, of home education, and giving people the opportunity to start home business a bad name.

This is an industry that I am proud of…

… Proud enough of it, to leave my legal profession of 20 years behind and start completely from scratch

… Proud of it because I have now personally met and spoken to hundreds of people who have made more money with this than with their day jobs, but if you speak to any one of them, it definitely wasn’t get rich easy or get rich quick.

Did I “get rich quick”?

Take me for example. I started my online education in February 2016…

I was working a full time job that used to require me to work 12-15 hours a day. I would leave for work at 7.15 a.m. and be home around 9 or 10 p.m. I would then be building my online business for as long as I could, typically till around 3 a.m. or sometimes later.

In April 2016, I handed in my resignation…

After being a lawyer for 20 years, it wasn’t an easy decision. But a decision I took because I didn’t have enough hours a day to run my online business, and I knew that would have greater potential from a financial and time freedom perspective, than staying in a law job the rest of my life. Between April and July 2016, I slogged away at my business…

Often spending more on marketing than I could recover through sales. As a family, we needed to cut back on a lot of things we had become accustomed to. As a senior lawyer, my pay check was not small, and we had cut that to nothing, and even below nothing because I was now spending money on marketing. But I was living my dream. I was finally in charge of my own destiny. I was learning again. I was learning things that were going to be relevant for my future.

And then in August 2016 it finally happened – my breakthrough, the month I first replaced my lawyer’s salary…

I then went on to build in excess of a six figure business in my first year online. And then in January this year, I was spotted by none other than Google as one of the highest potential internet marketers to start in 2016 – globally!

Many people look at me and think – I was an overnight success…

I wasn’t. First, I am incredibly blessed. I acknowledge what my family had to give up for me for me to become successful. And the mentorship and coaching that I received was absolutely second to none.

So, is this quick enough to be ‘get rich quick’? I don’t know. What I do know is that it wasn’t ‘get rich easy’.

I now work with over 100 students all around the world, helping them replicate this success. I don’t hold back any ‘secrets’.
