Promote With Integrity

In our continuing series on Affiliate Marketing, today we cover how and why you must promote with integrity

One of the great things about Affiliate Marketing is that we do not have to sell to friends and family, and we can promote virtually anything from potty training guides to guitar and computer parts. But selling to the internet and selling to our tribe does not mean that we do not promote with integrity.

In the last 2 weeks, our Tuesday blogs have been about Affiliate Marketing. 2 weeks ago, we covered why Affiliate Marketing could be suitable for you, and last week, we covered Building Your Tribe, or list building. If you’ve not read those articles, I recommend reading them at the links above before reading today’s article.

There’s emerged a frightening trend. This should not surprise any of us. People are hiding behind the anonymity of the internet and scamming others. There are a HUGE number of get rich quick schemes on the internet. And we should all be very cautious when contracting on the internet, because people who promote with integrity are getting rarer and rarer.

Promote With Integrity… Or get lost!

There’s a lot of people who would sell anything to their tribes to make a buck. But I’m here to tell you ‘stop’ – if you’re going down that path. We are here to build a business with integrity. (If you’ve not already read our core values, please have a look here.) And we want to build a team and a community that hold ourselves and each other to the highest standards. If you’re after some get rich quick scheme, or work around for the increased compliances on the internet. Please go somewhere else. Unsubscribe from my list. We don’t want you here.  Only people who promote with integrity and want to carry out a legitimate business are welcome.

Personally, I put myself out there, with pictures of my face, and my profile. I am not here to scam anyone. And I don’t want to be associated with anyone who is a scam.

Some of my fellow affiliate marketers think I’m a fool. After all there’s easy money out there. These are the same guys that complain about Google, Facebook, and YouTube compliance.  No wonder everyone thinks the internet’s full of scams!

Only promote what you love

But I choose to stick with my principles. We should only promote products which we ourselves use and find helpful. To sell something else to our tribes would be abusing our relationship with our tribes.

I choose to promote with integrity.  I only promote what I personally use, AND have found to be fantastic.
