Who works for who? – Get money to work for you

We’ve heard this one before – don’t work for money, get money to work for you.  That’s often easier said than done.  Learn how I got money to work for me.

I’ve always thought that people who said ‘get money to work for you’, made it sound easier than it really was.  And that getting money to work for you (well, me) was out of my reach.  It was for the bankers, the financially savvy, not for poor ole me. At least not to the extent it could meaningfully replace my corporate law income.

I tried investing in my things but the one things. I’m ashamed to say I was one of those “know it all” lawyers, and so while I did “invest in myself”, it was only for things that I thought were worthy of my time. Certainly not anything like online marketing!

Until earlier this year, when I decided that I would invest in the one thing I had some control over – me – and to do something that was fully within my control. I invested in my education, and then my business in the online marketing industry where I could do meaningful work on my own, and finally…

I GOT MONEY TO WORK FOR ME…

… in a meaningful way. After choosing to invest in myself, I saw that there was a whole world out there that I didn’t understand.  People who actually got money to work for them.  And they were no different from me.

The Revelation

That was a revelation – getting money to work for me – I mean REALLY work for me – IS possible.  The other revelation was that people who do that, all possess financial and time freedom.

You see, working for a pay is the easy way out.  But that means that they need to make more money off you than what they are paying you.  And they call the shots.  The only way you get what you’re worth, is to get money to work for you.
