A Business Milestone: My First Anniversary

Today marks a business milestone for me.  Exactly one year ago today, I submitted my application to become a Six Figure Mentors student.  Today, I am living my dream life of time and financial freedom.

Today’s my SFM anniversary.  Exactly one year ago today, I paid $29.95 and submitted my application to become a SFM student.  A significant business milestone, given that most businesses do not even survive the first year.

It is with an incredible amount of gratitude in my heart that I get to celebrate this business milestone…

…Particularly, that a mere one year on, I have quit my multiple 6 figure job as a corporate lawyer, I have more than replaced that income, and have built a 6 figure business, recognized by Google as one of the hottest internet marketing startups in 2016.

It all started last Valentine’s day, making this business milestone particularly easy to remember.

My wife and I were having dinner, and I was still happily (well relatively speaking…) employed as the head of legal at one of Singapore’s largest listed companies, and stock exchange index stocks. At that point in time, quitting my legal job was not even an option. I knew I was missing important family events, and wished I had more time for meaningful pursuits, but what choice did I have. I had a big salary, and we needed that to maintain our quality of life.

I have a sizable collection of guitars, and over dinner my wife suggested I ‘thin the herd’ because it was getting to a point where my guitars were occupying a lot of real estate, in expensive Singapore.

Being an in-house lawyer, I have never been on the revenue end of any company, and did not know how to sell anything…

…let alone a guitar, online. So, that night I searched for how I could sell something online, and ended up signing up for SFM.

The rest as they say, is history. 2 months later, I quit my job, and within 6 months replaced my lawyer’s paycheck.
