Course Correction Leads To Success

Success is a journey of many course corrections. Learning the art of course correction will enable you to launch virtually any business successfully.

I’ve had several conversations with students this week with a similar theme, with me giving similar advice, and so I thought I’d share this insight.

Several of them had not started marketing any products and wanted feedback on them. 

While I can, and do often give general feedback based on experience, and that can be helpful in setting the general direction, the most productive feedback is on their specific marketing.

General feedback works like this.

Think of a ship sailing from point A to point B.  General feedback will get you pointing towards point B.

However, it is only when you launch from point A, that we can start making course corrections to getting to point B.

And it is the course corrections that eventually get you to your goal.

On any journey, you get buffeted by winds, currents, etc, and that might accelerate your success, slow you down, or just blow you off course.

But because you’re on the journey, you have data.  And having that data, that’s specific to your journey allows you to make course corrections.
